Upper Elementary Lead Teacher
Join our AMS accredited, 370 student, toddler-8th grade Montessori school in beautiful Waukesha, Wisconsin. Montessori School of Waukesha (MSOW) is looking for a dedicated teacher who loves working with children and their families, and collaborating with colleagues. We have had success with hiring passionate, traditional professional educators who naturally embrace the Montessori philosophy - often described as similar to learner led or project based approaches. We then support them with an in-house teacher coach as they complete a Montessori teacher training program which is significantly subsidized by MSOW. The GMEI Teacher Education Program is accredited by MACTE, affiliated with American Montessori Society (AMS), and a program of Montessori School of Waukesha. GMEI website: www.gmeinstitute.org
The positive, community oriented, Montessori Upper Elementary (9-12 years) lead teacher will guide about 28 students in a fully equipped, mixed age, 1,200 square foot Montessori classroom. A full-time paraprofessional is assigned to each of our 14 classroom communities to assist the Lead Teacher throughout the day and afford the teacher substantial prep time.
Founded in 1964, Montessori School of Waukesha is the first and only school in Wisconsin accredited by the American Montessori Society. Our school has one toddler room, five children's house classrooms, four lower elementary classrooms, three upper elementary classrooms, and one middle school classroom.
