Montessori School of Waukesha introduces young children to the most basic forms of complex concepts. We build on these lessons at each level so children achieve deep understanding of difficult material much earlier than most expect. Through accreditation, we set out to exhibit excellence in every area of school performance.
Montessori School of Waukesha uses standardized tests as part of our continuous curriculum improvement process. While the tests are designed to measure achievement, we use the test results to identify areas requiring more time, assistance and/or challenge for each student during the school year. We take a holistic approach to child development with test scores being one indicator of achievement.
Montessori School of Waukesha students perform four to five grade levels higher than their Grade 6 class distinction, according to the latest standardized test results. A matrix follows for our students in Grades 3-6.
Since our doors first opened in 1964, Montessori School of Waukesha has earned a reputation for providing exceptional Montessori education in Waukesha County. Over the years we’ve grown in size and stature and currently offer personalized instruction to 230 students, ranging in age from 20 months through eighth grade.
In 2014—our 50th anniversary year—Montessori School of Waukesha has much to celebrate. In spite of a fluctuating economy, we are financially stable. In fact, we have added two properties, creating a 9 acre campus. This additional space will allow us to expand programming and to establish a Montessori Training Center for Montessori teachers, traditional educators, and parents to learn more about the extensive benefits of Montessori education. At this vital point in our history, it would be remarkable to also celebrate a successful capital campaign.
