Paraprofessional (Children's House & Elementary)

Paraprofessional Open Positions:

Children’s House: 3-6 year olds (2 positions open)

Lower Elementary: 6-9 year olds (1 position open)

Join our growing AMS accredited Montessori school in Waukesha, Wisconsin. We are looking for two Paraprofessionals (one early childhood classroom and one elementary classroom) who love working with children and being part of a positive team. No Montessori experience is necessary but a background in education, coaching, daycare, or wrap care is preferred. Our Paraprofessionals build a relationship with their designated classroom community and stay with the same classroom of children throughout the day. We have great students and families at MSOW - 95% of our lead teachers returned this year.

The lead teachers for these two classrooms are eager to partner with a calm, nurturing, positive, Paraprofessional who understands child development and knows how to redirect and manage children with kindness, respect, and consistency. You will help guide and support about 26 students in a lovely mixed age environment equipped with beautiful Montessori materials and lots of space. Paraprofessionals perform a variety of duties throughout the day with primary focus on student supervision, followed by direct teacher/classroom support tasks such as copying, laminating, making materials, light cleaning, and light laundry.

Founded in 1964, Montessori School of Waukesha is the first and only school in Wisconsin accredited by the American Montessori Society, and will serve about 370 students from toddler level through Middle School in the upcoming school year. Our school has one toddler room, five children's house classrooms (3-6 years), four lower elementary classrooms (6-9 years), three upper elementary classrooms (9-12 years), and one middle school classroom (12-14 years).

Faculty members are committed to life-long learning. The parent community is supportive and actively engaged. Come be a part of our welcoming community!
