Children's House Lead Teacher

Join our AMS-accredited Montessori school in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Learn more about Montessori School of Waukesha at www.msow.org.

We are seeking a positive, energetic early childhood educator to join one of our Children's House classrooms serving approximately 25 students in a mixed-age environment for children ages 3–6 years. Each classroom has an assigned full-time paraprofessional. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, values collaboration, and is eager to learn and grow within a Montessori setting.

We are looking for a teacher who loves working with young children, collaborating with colleagues, and partnering with families. Montessori teaching credentials are welcome but not required. Candidates who do not yet hold Montessori credentials must be willing to begin Montessori teacher training upon employment.

Candidates are not required to hold a Wisconsin DPI License or Montessori teaching credential at the time of hire. However, the successful candidate must be willing to begin both the Wisconsin licensure process and Montessori teacher training upon employment. Candidates already holding an AMS or AMI early childhood credential and DPI license will be given strong consideration.

MSOW offers 100% reimbursement for Wisconsin DPI licensing requirements and provides significant support for Montessori teacher training. Faculty may teach while completing licensure requirements within the prescribed Wisconsin timeline and while progressing through Montessori credentialing. Our leadership team will provide guidance throughout both processes, and many current faculty members have successfully completed this pathway.

Founded in 1964, Montessori School of Waukesha is the first and only school in Wisconsin accredited by the American Montessori Society and serves approximately 380 students from Toddler through Middle School. Our school includes one Toddler classroom, five Children's House classrooms, four Lower Elementary classrooms, three Upper Elementary classrooms, and a Middle School program.

Faculty members are committed to lifelong learning. Our parent community is supportive and actively engaged, helping to fund professional development opportunities for faculty. Several teachers have earned advanced degrees and Montessori certification with substantial financial support from the school community.

MSOW is also in the midst of an exciting campus transformation. A major renovation and construction project is underway that will unify our facilities into a single connected campus while adding a full-sized gymnasium, expanded library space, and enhanced learning environments for students and staff.

Come be a part of our exciting future! Applications should be sent to careers@msow.org.
